PDFparse is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We minimize the data we collect and process. When you use our platform, we may collect the following types of information:

Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name and email from Google.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized analytics about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, tools used, and session duration. This data cannot be traced back to individual users.

File Data: Files uploaded for conversion are temporarily stored in encrypted memory for processing only. We do NOT read, analyze, store, or sell the content of your files. All uploaded files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 2 hours of processing.

Payment Information: If you purchase premium credits, payment processing is handled entirely by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). PDFparse never stores credit card numbers or banking details on our servers.

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain our file conversion and AI agent services

• To authenticate your identity and manage your account

• To communicate important service updates or security alerts

• To improve and optimize our platform's performance and reliability

• To monitor for and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access

We will never use your data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties under any circumstances.

Security is at the core of everything we build. PDFparse employs industry-standard and enterprise-grade security measures to protect your data:

Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3 (Transport Layer Security).

Encryption at Rest: Any temporarily stored file data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption before being written to our secure processing servers.

Automatic Deletion: Uploaded files are processed in isolated, ephemeral containers and are permanently deleted within 2 hours. No backup copies are created.

Infrastructure Security: Our servers are hosted on SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure with 24/7 monitoring, intrusion detection systems, and regular penetration testing.

Zero-Knowledge Architecture: Our AI agents process documents without logging or retaining the document content. Only metadata (file type, size, processing status) is temporarily stored for operational purposes.

PDFparse uses minimal cookies strictly necessary for the operation of our platform:

Essential Cookies: Used for authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled as they are required for the platform to function.

Analytics Cookies: We use privacy-respecting analytics (no third-party trackers like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel) to understand aggregate usage patterns. These can be disabled via your browser settings.

We do NOT use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any third-party behavioral tracking technologies.

PDFparse integrates with a limited number of third-party services to provide our platform. Each partner is vetted for compliance with our privacy standards:

• Authentication Providers: Google OAuth (for optional social sign-in)

• Payment Processing: Stripe (for premium credit purchases)

• Hosting Infrastructure: Cloud hosting providers with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance certifications

We do not share your personal data with any third party for marketing, analytics, or advertising purposes.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Access: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time.

• Right to Deletion: You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. This action is irreversible.

• Right to Correction: You can update or correct your account information at any time through your dashboard.

• Right to Data Portability: You can request your data in a standard, machine-readable format.

• Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

We retain different types of data for different periods:

• Uploaded Files: Automatically deleted within 2 hours of processing

• Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account closure

• Usage Analytics: Anonymized data retained for up to 12 months for service improvement

• Payment Records: Retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial regulations

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our platform at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of PDFparse after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
