Terms of Service

By accessing or using PDFparse ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PDFparse Inc. They apply to all users, whether registered or unregistered, and to all services provided through the Platform including file conversion tools, AI document agents, and related features.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before taking effect.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use PDFparse. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

While many of PDFparse's tools are available without registration, certain features (such as AI agents and credit-based services) require you to create an account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive, fraudulent, or harmful behavior.

PDFparse grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may:

• Convert files using any of our free and premium tools

• Use AI agent features within your allocated credit balance

• Integrate PDFparse into your workflows for lawful business purposes

• Share converted output files with others

You may NOT:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Platform

• Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Platform without authorization

• Upload files containing malware, viruses, or any harmful code

• Use the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose

• Resell or redistribute access to the Platform without written authorization

• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, security measures, or usage restrictions

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all files you upload to and download from PDFparse. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.

Our Platform: The PDFparse platform, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by PDFparse Inc. and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Feedback: If you provide feedback, suggestions, or feature requests, you grant us a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use that feedback to improve the Platform.

Certain AI features require credits to use. Credits can be purchased through the Platform. All credit purchases are processed securely via Stripe.

Pricing: Prices for credits and premium features are displayed on our pricing page and are subject to change. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increases for existing subscribers.

Refunds: Unused credits are non-refundable unless required by applicable consumer protection law. If you experience a technical issue that prevents proper service delivery, contact our support team for case-by-case resolution.

Free Tier: Standard file conversion tools are provided free of charge with reasonable usage limits. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits at any time.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Key highlights: Files are encrypted using AES-256, automatically deleted within 2 hours of processing, and never read, stored, or sold by PDFparse staff. For full details, visit our Privacy Policy page.

PDFparse is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we strive for maximum uptime and reliability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PDFparse Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform

• Any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

• Any errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated outputs, OCR results, or document analysis

• Any unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to maintain credential security

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to PDFparse in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PDFparse Inc. and its affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform

• Your violation of these Terms

• Your violation of any third party's rights

• Content you upload or transmit through the Platform

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
